Public School Experience
Michael’s House is proud to provide public school experience for its five- to 18-year-old residents through the Englewood School. Just as Michael’s House is one of the only acute care centers for severely mentally and physically disabled in Indiana, Englewood is one of the few public schools in Indiana devoted solely to the needs of these children.
In addition to full-time teachers and paraprofessionals, Englewood offers physical, occupational and speech therapy within the curriculum. Job coaches also teach the students job skills and life skills in the community, including grocery shopping, traffic safety and personal hygiene, which reinforce skills and lessons given at Michael’s House to provide a well-rounded experience.

Please call our business office at (812) 339-1657 for more detailed information on Medicaid services catered to our non-Indiana-based visitors.
